Before you go shopping make a list of your requirements.

I can understand if you are struggling with making up your mind. First quality and safety would have been of the up-most importance. I’ve spent some time researching those I consider to be the best and I found that value for money you can’t go wrong with the Britax range.

I decided on the Britax range in my review because of its high ratings and popularity. The range will give you a flexible choice when considering forward facing or rear facing or the convertible 2 in 1. The Britax range is large and here you will need to check out which car seat in their range is best for your baby.

They also provide a great video for ease of installing.

Britax perform twice as many tests as required by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. Tested by Dadlabs Ep 439.

The fundamental functions of the Britax range are:

Focus on head safety
reinforced seats with integrated steel bars to strengthen connection to the vehicle. Big on protection especially from side impact car crashes. They do take into account frontal crashes as well and have designed the front facing position to reduce forward flexing.
Research has shown that 1 in 4 car crashes happen from the side. Britax car seats are larger than most because of the extra padding for protection especially around the head area
Patented ground breaking safe cell technology designed to lesson the impact upon crash.
The convertible range are designed for both forward and backward facing giving you a longer period of usage – from 50 pounds up to 70 pounds.

The larger more popular Britax carseats are the Marathon 70, the Advocate, and the Boulevard.

The Diplomat is a smaller version of the Boulevard and the Roundabout is a smaller version of the Marathon. Both are suited better for the smaller car.

The Roundabout 55 is less expensive than most other Britax models and an excellent choice for the small car. Like all other Britax car seats safety is of paramount importance.

There is little difference between the Marathon 70 and the Boulevard. I think it comes down to a choice as to what best suits your needs.

The Advocate is considered to be the Rolls Royce. Its very similar to the Boulevard except for the energy management side cushioning which does take up additional width and therefore best suited to the larger vehicle.

Britax provide an expiry date letting you know when the seat has passed their safety guidelines.

Judging from buyers reviews Amazon does appear to have the upper hand on pricing with free postage and no tax. Money for value I would suggest the Marathon 70 with hundreds of satisfied customers.
